Life Changing

Yes, I'm writing on this blog again, finally!

If you are my friends on Instagram, Path, or Snapchat, then you will know that I already graduate from English Studies and obtain my S. Hum title since August the 13th, 2015. I'm currently working as reporter for an online media.

Well, there are a lot of stories to share. Do you ever heard the quote that says, "it always seems impossible until it's done"? I think that quote fits to describe my mini thesis writing process. Had my proposal of mini thesis accepted on April 2015, I only had four months until August if I want to graduate on time. I worked hard to finish the thesis. Harder than anyone else. When most of my friends came home to celebrate Ramadhan on their hometown with their family, I choose to stay on Jatinangor to finish my thesis instead.

When the others still on their hometown after Eid to spend an Eid holiday, I choose to write my thesis on Jatinangor since the fourth day after Eid. I spent my days writing and reading. I took the opportunity to do my best while Jatinangor was empty, so no one will disturb me.

Luckly, I have a supportive family and friends. They are my keen supporters that always there on my struggle. And I also lucky to have Bu Atwin, Aquarini Priyatna, MA. M. Hum, Ph.D., as my supervisor and first thesis advisor. And also Bu Rima, Rima Febriani, M. Hum. as my second thesis advisor and Bu Fitfit, Fitria Mayasari, M. Hum as my third thesis advisor. I can't thank them enough because I'm not gonna make it without them.

"Fa inna ma’al ‘usri yusraa. Inna ma’al ‘usri yusraa." I got the straight A for my mini thesis. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is the Nigerian writer whom the novels I analyze for my research. My research focuses on cosmopolitan culture one the novels, and its title is "Kebudayaan Kosmopolitan dalam Tiga Novel Karya Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie".

The girls I love

But well, after the graduation ceremony, I have to face the reality that I already open new page of my life and the page called "adulthood". My life changed. I have to make decision from so many choices.

Have my life changing is...... indescribable. I can't describe how it feels. With all of sudden, you are not a student anymore. Suddenly, you are an adult and the responsibilities about you are all yours alone. Entering adulthood is never been easy, but I really am grateful to have all of these. Because I know, God always love me and God always be with me through the ups and downs of my life.

Just like other people, I also experienced that so called quarter life crisis. But I know I can through this. I'm not the strongest one but I'm the one who never give up.

So, here I am. On the very start of new life as an adult. I'm gonna make my dreams come true one by one. Step by step. I know, it won't be easy. So, I'll ask for God to make all of those struggles are worth it and I'll ask the strenght to through these.

Now, I'm officially a journalist. A job that I always wanted since.... forever. And I really am grateful with my life. Yes, I'm currently living my heavy yet happy adult life to the fullest.
